Day 266 - A Year to Clear - Consciousness Shifts...

Lesson 266: Consciousness Shifts...

When you’re awakened into a new state of consciousness (which some would call a spiritual awakening), you’re able to check yourself when you feel moments of you slipping into a dream state (the one society feeds you). You would be aware to shift your consciousness from these two states. Today we are to think about those times we do feel like we’re going numb and closing ourselves off. The pain we’ve experienced before and how you apply fearlessness and expand your heart.

My recent August depression saw me feeling numb. I didn’t know why. It was a shit time. I guess I forgot about the lesson of just opening my heart to the pain and working through it. A friend helped me through it – well using his guides to find what was attaching itself to me and I also worked with the shadow self to see what negative things I was manifesting myself. If I had just applied the passages of the heart of pain, compassion and connection, I might have nipped it in the bud sooner. I realise how valuable this advice is now – face the pain, deal with it, accept it and release it before moving onto compassion on self or the situation and then open the consciousness.

I feel like anyone can apply this and it’s a matter of spreading these lessons out there. we can all expand our hearts and in turn consciousness. It’s a choice we all have to make, though definitely not force it upon another. That’s why I lead by example. I lead my life in hopes people can pick up on the awakening they may need. Let’s try and bring our consciousness on a higher level.

Day 260 - A Year of Spiritual Awakening - Consciousness Does Not Mean...

Lesson 260: Consciousness Does Not Mean...

When we awaken spiritually, it allows us to see through the illusions that society, others or the world may have placed upon you. It’s clarity that you may not have experienced before. Your consciousness is awake. Today we are to welcome an opportunity where we will be present.

My day consisted of going to my normal day job, going to my tarot reading job and then going to belly dance. I think I am fully present when I am doing my tarot job as that’s a safe place where I can be myself. Not saying I can’t be myself elsewhere, but I feel like there is judgement surrounding what I believe in – that of being a witch and medium. It’s that people sometimes choose to not understand or have the same respect towards me that I have of them. I am very much in the moment when I do readings for others. I want to make sure that I deliver the messages that are right for these people that come to me to have a reading. I need to be fully present and not off in my own world. I need to hang onto their every word and make sure I give messages that relate to their situation. I cannot falter. I use my spirit guides to achieve this. I don’t achieve what I do based on a logical path the world has taught me. A lot of what I do cannot have logic applied and may seem unnatural for some. I feel like my spiritual consciousness is fully awake when I am doing tarot readings.

How do you think your spiritual consciousness delivers being present to your days?

Day 259 - A Year of Spiritual Awakening - In the Heart of Connection...

Lesson 259: In the Heart of Connection...

….we begin to awake. Our minds expand, our hearts expand, our transformation begins and our consciousness changes. We work in between planes from the physical to the spiritual. Today we are to ask ourselves if we can be spiritual whilst living a life on earth. Do you need to go to nature, a mountain top or go to a small village to find your spiritual self? Or can you be a spiritual being exactly where you are?

I think a spiritual life can be practised anywhere and anytime. I don’t think you need to be awakened by travelling to a particular place such as a remote tribal village, a Stonehenge tour, see the pyramids. I believe when you’re ready, you will see your spirituality when you need it. Some people don’t find it in this lifetime and that’s okay. There is no point trying to convince them because it’s not necessary. It may come in a lifetime years from now.

Being spiritual is about self and understanding your connection in everything. It’s about faith in the unknown, as well as faith in truth… your truth! I feel that spiritual awakenings are about uncovering your new life – what you will transform into. It is your path alone to discover. You don’t need someone to tell you what you should believe. It’s a discovery of self. When your consciousness changes, it definitely paints a new view on the world. I believe what’s important is that you don’t need to do something special like a spiritual retreat, or climb the highest cliff face to find it - it’s within you and it will come when you’re ready to receive. When you want to make connection, see the synchronicity grow. Allow your consciousness to take your heart and mind to the next level of connection.

Day 203 - A Year of Spiritual Awakening - To Be Illuminated...

Lesson 203: To Be Illuminated...

Being illuminated is an awakening for you are now conscious. It allows you to be on a different path to others as you come to understand how to work with your own energy. We have moved through the passages of the heart of pain and compassion. Can you now see how this has changed you? And, can you help another who is currently going through these passages? Look around today to see if there is an opportunity to do so.

I think going through those passages have allowed me to deal with situations and feelings that have plagued me my whole life. It allowed me to shed things that don’t hold me back now. I think by applying compassion to myself, like how I do for others, really allowed me to be forgiving to myself. There is a lot more acceptance I have for myself than I ever have. From my own acceptance, it allows me to assist others or recognise when another is need of my light.

I didn’t necessarily have anyone that needed my assistance today. The only way I tried to help a stranger, was the girl who came in Saturday in the shop I worked at. I talked about the spiritual path that may help her with her tarot readings. I just wanted her to see her own potential whilst being surrounded by a supportive community. I mean there are some friends who are currently going through passages of pain and compassion, though that’s more like an everyday energy I share with those people. I think it’s slow progress but progress nonetheless.

I will keep trying to spread my light to help illuminate others on a day to day basis. How did you help someone out through pain or compassion?

Day 202 - A Year of Spiritual Awakening - Understand That Not Everyone...

Lesson 202: Understand That Not Everyone...

Understand that not everyone in this lifetime seeks; not everyone will find. Understand, that most are still sleeping; this is always as it has been. At a given time, there are only a few who are illuminated.
— Sara Wiseman

Not everyone will be guided by the Divine light. In fact, you will know some people in your life that are not interested in discovering their spiritual side and do not want to be awakened. It’s one of those things that you need to accept and allow their path to be their own. I think over time, those people do get curious and want to expand on the topic, and there will be a moment to have a nice healthy discussion about spirituality. You may find you slowly light people’s paths and allow them to explore your beliefs as a starting point. Today, we are to shine our light to assist those around you to become illuminated for we are illuminated. Take the moment to help another seek from the Divine.

When I was at work, a girl came in wanting to find a tarot deck. She had been on the search and hadn’t found one she connected with. We started talking and I talked about different places I had been to learn spirituality in different ways. She was quite young so I thought by freely talking about my own path, she might feel comfortable in exploring some of the things I was talking about. I think that’s the hardest challenge I faced – not knowing where to go to really answer the questions I had. Anything I can do to illuminate someone else’s path is a win for me. If I can be open and honest about what I’ve done, it may spark something in someone else. I think not really knowing if you can find people like yourself can be difficult and at times it can be a solitary path. It’s good to find people that believe in the same things you do. Because this girl hadn’t learned tarot, I said we had tarot classes every fortnight for $20 and you get to learn with a good group of people. I could see the cogs turning in her head as she considered it. I just wanted to show her that there are safe environments where learning was possible with people just like her. She ended up buying oracle cards and a crystal and left after this.

Even though this girl didn’t take me up on my offer, I like to talk to others of my own experience. The other day I helped a lady by giving her my medium teacher’s number because her and her husband started seeing spirits. I offered assistance in this way because they were afraid but I wanted them to know that there was a reason spirits were presenting themselves and it’s a path they can explore. I think fear really took over but if you have the right guidance, it becomes less intense and scary. I think when we all help each other in this way, it opens possibilities for others. I try and do that every time I’m working in the witch shop to stop uncertainty in others. It’s a welcome environment and I’m proud of who I am and I want that in others too.

Is there something you can do to help illuminate someone else’s path?
