Random spurt of creativity

So I hadn't been practising in months. I can't even remember when I drew these, but I was passing Officeworks and had this sudden urge to buy a sketchbook and pencils. I didn't know what to draw, so I just typed some words in Google and tried to replicate. This is what came out. Just playing around really. There is a fairy, angel wing, Lady crying and stag. Didn't leave myself room for antlers on the stag, but I'll learn more on perception, proportion and scale.

Lips

I attempted to draw realistic lips and it didn't go to plan. I was definitely trying to attempt shadowing but then I kind of smudged my finger in places by accident and screwed up the overall look. Tried the cupid's bow and that seemed okay when I started and put finger prints everywhere and tried to erase them out and somehow made it worse. I guess practise makes perfect and there will be more chances to conquer this.

Realistic eye for beginners

Thought I'd make a quick post before work. So I tried following a tutorial on realistic eyes for beginners. It was harder than I thought it would be, but I'm always up for a challenge.

Given that the idea is to achieve realism, I am happy with my effort. The eyelashes, I maybe made too abundant, and I realised this after I looked back at the tutorial. I also had a difficult time getting the eyebrow to look more natural but I think with more practise, I'll get hair strokes down better.

I've included my first drawing and then my attempts to shade, plus some different angles of the finished drawing.
